Running to Rata - Guild Wars Forums

So I was trying to run a guildie last night from Olaf to rata.
I am A/E, pretty much the standard running build.
No problem from Olaf to Vlox Falls.
But then I couldn't get any further because of those Bloodbath Incubus monsters.

Is it possible to get past those?!?!

You have to go from Arbor Bay to Alcazia Tangle, then Riven Earth when running that with a perma. It is possible to get past the incubi if you go right to the west of the zone before trying to cross the mountains, though it relies somewhat on luck. You're better off detouring through Alcazia Tangle.

VoS dervs have very little trouble with the incubi, and hence don't need to go the long way. It's just the explosion caused by stripping shadow form that's dangerous.

When i run Guildies i go through the bottom portal (Not the Shards of Orr one) and bring them to Tarnished Haven on the way to Rata. It avoids the Incubi and it allows them to get the quest for the Asura skills while they are there. If i am only running one or two guildies i bring Para Heroes with Fall Back and Incoming and only use shadow where its needed. This keeps the whole group running together so they even have the areas on thier map.
